Terms of Service
Last updated November 5, 2026
1. Agreement
These terms are an agreement between you and Dennis, doing business as Clipfinder ("we", "us", "our"). They cover the Glass app for Mac, the website at glasseditor.app, and the server the app uses (together, "Glass").
By creating an account or using Glass, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy, which is part of them. If you use Glass for a company or other organization, you agree for it, and you confirm you are allowed to. If you do not agree, do not use Glass.
You can reach us at support@clipfinder.org or by mail at 9461 Charleville Blvd #1092, Beverly Hills, CA 90212, United States.
2. Who can use Glass
You must be at least 18, able to make a binding contract, and not barred from using Glass by the laws that apply to you. Glass is offered from the United States. If you use it elsewhere, you are responsible for following your local laws.
Glass is not built to meet industry rules such as HIPAA (health information), FISMA or GLBA (financial information). Do not use it to record or process information that falls under those rules.
3. Your account
You need an account to use Glass's editing. You sign in with a one-time email code, or with Apple or Google.
- Use a real email address you control. Throwaway addresses are refused.
- One account per person. Do not share your account or make extra accounts to get more AI allowance.
- Keep access to your email and sign-in accounts secure. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
- Tell us if you think someone else is using your account.
4. Plans and billing
Glass is in early access. Features may change, break, or be removed, and the service may be interrupted.
Glass is free to use, with paid plans (Starter and Pro) for more AI editing and extra features. Plans are billed monthly or yearly through Stripe and renew automatically until you cancel. You will never be charged without choosing a plan yourself.
You can cancel any time from your account. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you've paid for, then your account moves to Free.
Payments are non-refundable. If something went wrong, like a bug that kept Glass from working for you, email support@glasseditor.app or ask us on Discord at discord.gg/BvUyHQVg9W and we'll look into it. We may grant a refund case by case, but it isn't guaranteed.
Early-access prices are half the usual price and are offered to new subscribers only while early access runs. We may end early access at any time; after that, new subscriptions are at the usual prices. If you subscribe during early access, your early-access price stays the same for as long as your subscription stays active, including when you switch between plans or between monthly and yearly. If your subscription ends and you subscribe again after early access is over, you pay the usual price.
Each plan includes a monthly AI allowance, shown in the app as AI usage, because editing uses AI services that cost us money for every request. It resets every month, on yearly plans too. Recording and editing by hand keep working when it runs out. We may change the allowance.
5. Your recordings and videos
They are yours. You own what you record with Glass and the videos you make. We do not claim ownership of any of it.
The permission we need. To edit a take, Glass sends parts of it (microphone audio, transcripts, still frames, on-screen text, click names, your edit and your chat requests) through our server to the AI services named in our Privacy Policy. You give us, and those services acting for us, a limited, worldwide, royalty-free permission to receive, process, copy and transmit that material only to provide Glass to you, and to keep the records the Privacy Policy describes (for example, export snapshots while "Help improve Glass" is on). This permission ends when the material is deleted under the Privacy Policy.
Your responsibility. You are responsible for what you record, edit and share. You confirm that you have the rights you need to everything you record, including other people's screens, voices, likenesses, names and content (for example on a call, in a video you play, or in someone else's app), and that recording them is legal where you and they are.
Keep your own copies. Your recordings and projects live only on your Mac. We do not back them up and cannot recover them. Glass may lose or damage a project or an export through a bug; keep copies of anything you care about.
6. AI edits and output
Glass edits automatically, and AI makes mistakes. A cut may land in the wrong place, a caption may mishear a word, a description or a text box may be wrong, and the automatic blur may miss something private on screen. Watch your whole video before you share it. You decide what to publish, and you are responsible for it.
What the AI produces for you (cuts, captions, text, voiceover) is part of your video and is yours to use, to the extent the law allows anyone to own it. Similar output may be produced for other people.
Voiceovers use a stock voice. Glass does not clone voices.
7. What you may not do
You may not use Glass to:
- record or share anything illegal, or anything you do not have the right to record or share;
- record people secretly where the law requires their consent;
- harass, threaten, deceive or defraud anyone, or impersonate a real person, including with a voiceover;
- make sexual content involving minors, or content that exploits or harms children in any way;
- infringe anyone's copyright, trademark, privacy or other rights;
- break the usage rules of the AI services Glass uses (OpenAI's and ElevenLabs' usage policies), for example to generate content they forbid.
You may not, with Glass or its server:
- reach our server from anything other than the Glass app, or use scripts, bots or automated tools against it;
- get around the AI allowance, rate limits, sign-in or other limits, including by making extra accounts;
- overload, probe, disrupt or attack Glass, its server or its providers, or upload viruses or harmful code;
- copy, decompile or reverse engineer the app, except where the law allows it despite this term;
- resell, rent or share access to Glass or its AI features, or use them to build a competing product;
- remove our copyright or other notices;
- send us false reports, or abuse our support channels.
8. Feedback
If you send us ideas, suggestions or feedback, we may use them to improve Glass and for any other purpose, without paying you or owing you anything. Feedback that includes your own recording details is still handled under the Privacy Policy.
9. Our software
Glass's app, server, website, design, code and name belong to us or our licensors. While you follow these terms, we give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the Glass app on Macs you own or control, and to use our website and server through it. We keep all other rights.
The app updates itself to fix problems and keep working with our server. Older versions may stop working with our server, and the app may ask you to update.
10. Other services
Glass relies on other companies (such as Apple, Google, OpenRouter, OpenAI and ElevenLabs). Your use of Sign in with Apple or Google is also governed by their terms. We are not responsible for their services, their websites, or any links to them.
11. Changes to Glass
We may change, pause or stop any part of Glass at any time, for example as the beta develops. We will try to give notice of big changes inside the app, but we may not always be able to. We are not liable for changes, interruptions or downtime, or for ending the beta.
12. Suspension and ending
You can stop using Glass at any time, and you can ask us to delete your account (see the Privacy Policy).
We may suspend or close your account, or block access, if you break these terms, if your use puts Glass, its providers or other people at risk, or if we have to by law. Where it is reasonable and allowed, we will tell you why. If we close your account for breaking these terms, do not make a new one.
Your recordings stay on your Mac either way. Sections 5 (your responsibility), 6, 8, 9, 13, 14, 15, 16 and 19 continue after these terms end.
13. No warranty
Glass is provided "as is" and "as available", especially during the beta. To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no promises of any kind, express or implied, including that Glass will be uninterrupted, secure, error free, or fit for a particular purpose, that it will not infringe anyone's rights, or that AI output will be accurate. You use Glass at your own risk.
14. Limits on our liability
To the fullest extent the law allows:
- we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or recordings, even if we were told they were possible;
- our total liability for all claims about Glass is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the six months before the claim arose, or US$50.
Some places do not allow these limits. If so, they apply only as far as the law allows, and you may have other rights.
15. Indemnity
If someone makes a claim against us because of your recordings or videos, your use of Glass, your breach of these terms, or your violation of someone else's rights, you agree to defend us and cover our losses and reasonable legal costs. We may take over the defense ourselves, and you agree to help. We will tell you about such a claim when we learn of it.
16. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law rules.
If you have a problem with Glass, contact us first. We both agree to try to solve a dispute informally for at least 30 days after one of us sends the other written notice.
If that does not work, the dispute will be decided in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California, and we both agree to those courts' jurisdiction. Either of us may still bring a claim in small claims court where it qualifies.
The UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply.
17. Messages from us
You agree that we can send you notices, agreements and other communications electronically, by email or inside the app, and that they count as "in writing".
18. No unsolicited email
Glass does not advertise by unsolicited bulk or commercial email, and does not allow anyone, including partners or users, to promote Glass that way. Email we send goes only to people who made an account or contacted us first. Report unsolicited email that mentions Glass to support@clipfinder.org and we will act on it.
19. General
- These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about Glass.
- If part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies.
- If we do not enforce a term, we have not given up the right to.
- We may transfer these terms to someone who takes over Glass. You may not transfer them without our written permission.
- We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by things beyond our reasonable control.
- These terms do not create a partnership, employment or agency relationship.
- We may correct errors on our website or in the app at any time.
20. California users
If a complaint is not resolved, you can contact the Complaint Assistance Unit of the Division of Consumer Services of the California Department of Consumer Affairs in writing at 1625 North Market Blvd., Suite N 112, Sacramento, California 95834, or by phone at (800) 952-5210 or (916) 445-1254.
21. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top and, for important changes, tell you in the app or by email before they take effect. If you keep using Glass after a change takes effect, you accept the new terms. If you do not agree, stop using Glass and ask us to delete your account.
